PLEASE NOTE: Some Blazar lenses, when used with official Blazar EF mounts, have large rear protrusions that limit their ability to mount to some EF cameras/adapters. These EF mount lenses include the Remus 33mm, Cato 40mm, and Mantis 25/35/50/75/100mm. Please read below for information on EF mount compatibility.

Incompatible Example

Blazar EF mount lenses will most likely NOT be compatible with the following:

  • Older DSLR cameras that have physical mirror or shutter mechanisms
  • Speedboosters, lens adapters with drop-in filters, or anything similar
  • Electronic lens adapters
  • Camera mounts and lens adapters with pieces that extend far into the mount. See the “Incompatible Example” images. See how some parts of the mount extend beyond the red circle? If your mount/adapter does the same, then Blazar EF mount lenses may not work with your camera.

More Compatible Example

Blazar EF mount lenses are more likely to be compatible with the following:

  • Passive, non-electronic lens adapters
  • Camera mounts and lens adapters that do not have glass elements or any pieces that stick out. See the “More Compatible Example” image. This mount is completely open and has nothing in the way that could block the lens from mounting.

But no matter what EF mount camera or adapter you’re using, please check our lens specs to confirm compatibility. Down below you can find technical diagrams for all Blazar lenses that contain the protrusion measurements for each lens in PL and EF mount. If the lens protrusions are less than the maximum protrusion supported by your camera/adapter, then the lenses should be compatible.
